These peculiar looking photographs are in fact very, very long exposures. These solargraphs are single exposures of about one month. 
 
The lines arcing along the sky in the photographs are the path the sun takes across the sky, these show the small daily changes in the Earths Rotations.
 
The photographs with squiggly lines all over them are from the pinhole camera becoming detached from its position.
